CLUB ATTIRE - GENERAL
Except as specified below, proper country club attire is acceptable throughout the Club. At all times prior to 6:00 p.m., dress that is acceptable on the Golf Course and Tennis Courts is acceptable in the Clubhouse, except when notification to the contrary is made. After 6:00 p.m., dress in the Dining Rooms is Country Club Casual, except as notified for particular events. In the Sports Bar, Halfway House and on the Terrace areas, dress that is permitted on the Golf Course and Tennis Courts is permitted at all times unless a room is being used for other purposes.
The following clothing may not be worn in the Clubhouse except in the Locker Rooms and Fitness Center:
- T-shirts (except on limited occasions where permission is granted)
- sweatshirts and sweat pants
- ripped or torn denim
- by males - collarless or sleeveless shirts, unless under a jacket
- by males - rubber flip flops
Knit collarless shirts may be worn by males at any time, with or without a jacket, in the Clubhouse.
Warm-up suits (not sweat suits) may be worn in the Clubhouse for breakfast and lunch.
Hats may be worn by men in the Sports Bar and in the Halfway House, but not in any of the other Clubhouse Dining Rooms or the Main Bar. Hats may never be worn backwards in the Clubhouse or on the Golf Course.
Males’ shirts must be tucked in while in the Clubhouse except in the Locker Room and Fitness Center. However, for dinner, shirts designed to be worn outside of pants or shorts are permitted, and tailored shirts do not have to be tucked in.
Feet must be covered in the Clubhouse and on the Terraces.
Bathing attire is permitted in the Locker Rooms and Swimming Pool areas only. Bathing attire with proper coverings may be worn on the Terraces until 6:00 p.m. Cover ups and shoes must be worn when leaving the Pool area.
Robes or other coverings must be worn going to and from the lockers, washrooms and showers within the Locker Rooms.
GOLF ATTIRE
Only recognized golf attire is acceptable for players on the Golf Course. The Golf Course includes all golf facilities, i.e., course, driving range, putting green, et. al.
Only soft-spike golf shoes are permitted. Shoes with metal spikes are prohibited. Sneakers are permitted but not preferred.
Only Bermuda-length shorts are acceptable.
The following attire is not acceptable:
jeans
gym wear, including sweats (as distinct from warm-ups)
tennis attire
collarless or sleeveless shirts for males (see below)
tank tops
cargo shorts and pants may not be worn by males unless the following requirements are met: 1. neatly pressed; 2. pocket(s) shall be flat, fashion pockets - not large, oversized, baggy pockets; 3. no longer than the top of the knee; 4. no frayed edges or cuffs.
Shirts must be worn tucked into shorts or pants.
Accepted collarless golf shirts will be permitted.
TENNIS ATTIRE
Only proper tennis attire is acceptable. No short shorts are permitted.
Males: T-shirts are allowed; no sleeveless shirts
Females: T-shirts are allowed; no bare midriff
All players must wear proper tennis sneakers while on the courts.
FITNESS CENTER ATTIRE
Shirts and sneakers must be worn at all times.
Bathing suits are not permitted.
All manner of workout gear is permitted.
USE OF CELL PHONES
Cell phones on Club Grounds should never be used in a manner that would be disturbing to others. Cell phones must be set on vibrate mode at all times while on Club Grounds. Conversations on cell phones may only take place in phone booths, corridors, Locker Rooms, Card Rooms and on terraces (when meals are not being served) or outside the Clubhouse. If a telephone call must be made or responded to on the Golf Course, at the Tennis facility or in the Pool area, all reasonable efforts must be taken to ensure that such conversation is as brief and private as possible and does not interfere with others.
USE OF LAPTOP COMPUTERS AND SIMILAR DEVICES
Laptop computers and similar devices may be used in the Business Center, Board Room, Card Rooms and Pool area only and should never be used in a manner that would be disturbing to others.
TIPPING POLICY & GRATUITIES
Tipping of, or gift-giving to, any person employed by the Club, or any person employed by entities contracted by the Club, by any Member, his or her family or guest is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in dismissal of the employee involved.
